Training for foster carers in New South Wales

Training is a really important element of the foster carer support we offer. We think it’s vital in helping foster carers feel confident, capable and supported in their role – throughout the approval process and beyond.

That’s why we’re committed to providing all our carers with accessible, relevant and quality training.

Mandatory foster carer training

All our foster carers complete the pre-service ‘Shared Stories/Shared Lives’ training programme and post-approval training through the Key Assets Core Curriculum.
