Key Assets Fostering is a non-profit organisation which operates as an independent out of home care provider, contributing to Queensland’s foster care service.
As a non-government foster care program, we provide foster care placements for children and young people with high and complex needs. Every member of our staff works hard to provide the best foster care experience for children in alternative living arrangements, as well as their carers and support staff.
Key Assets Fostering was founded in Australia in 2007 with operations in Western Australia, South Australia and Queensland. As a part of the international Core Assets Group, we have a combined 16 years of experience in supporting foster carers and the children and young people placed with them.
Core Assets, through its subsidiaries, encompasses foster care providers across four continents and is recognised for its successful outcomes.
Read a foreword by the co-founder of Core Assets, Jan Rees, to find out more about how we are helping children and youth to achieve the successful outcomes they deserve around the world.
We recruit foster carers of various backgrounds and levels of experience to work as part of a close team. Together we provide alternative care and a secure environment for children and young people aged 0-18 years old in metropolitan and rural parts of the South East, South West and Brisbane regions of Queensland.
We believe in a team approach to foster care, working with the foster carer and the Department of Communities (Child Safety Services) to achieve a service that best fits the needs of the child or young person in placement.
We are child-focused, supportive of our carers and professional in our approach.
