Are you considering a career in foster care in Queensland (QLD)?
At Key Assets Fostering, we work closely with our foster carers to provide any ongoing guidance and support they need. We specialise in providing a fostering service in the South West, Brisbane and South East regions of Queensland, with a network of foster carers, support workers and office-based staff, specialising in the provision of foster care for children and young people with high and complex needs.
Key Assets Fostering works with the Department of Communities (Child Safety Services) in QLD to provide safe, stable and supportive foster homes for young people. Many of the children who come into care with us have high and complex needs or exhibit difficult behaviour.
We are looking for people who can offer foster care in Queensland to these children and young people. If you have experience with fostering in QLD, if you’ve worked with children or young people in a professional capacity or even if you have no previous experience but feel you have the qualities needed, you could be just the person we are looking for.
Key Assets Fostering offers a wide range of support services and foster carer training opportunities to ensure the best possible outcomes for our children and young people in foster care, and to promote the welfare of our Queensland foster carers.
According to the Department of Communities, there are over 7,500 children in foster care in Queensland and of these around 35% are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people.
At Key Assets Fostering, we recruit foster carers who can offer these children and young people a safe and stable home that promotes their cultural heritage. Where possible, we seek to provide foster carers who are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander themselves. However, we also provide comprehensive training for non-Aboriginal foster carers.
If you are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander or you think you could become a foster carer for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Children and young people, contact Key Assets Fostering today. You could be just the right person to make a positive and lasting difference in the life of a child or young person in QLD.
