Berenice Mikaere – Senior Supervising Social Worker
Having been a foster parent myself for many years, I returned to study and trained as a Social Worker, qualifying in 2000.
My social work experience includes over 10 years in care and protection within a non-government family supported foster care agency, as well as providing Social Work services to Child, Youth and Family, the statutory agency within New Zealand.
I am passionate about children and young people experiencing a depth of care that will make a positive and lasting difference and to see foster parents effectively encouraged and supported in their vital role of providing care for our children and young people.
