Are you thinking of becoming a foster carer in Queensland? There are a number of things you need to know before deciding whether it’s right for you. This includes finding out what fostering involves, how the process works and thinking about how fostering will affect your family.
There are different reasons why children come into care. Many of them will have experienced neglect and harm, and all have faced loss and separation from their birth family. These children may express their feelings though difficult or challenging behaviour and we offer different types of fostering placements to meet their individual needs.
Our foster carers come from a wide range of backgrounds and we’re looking for people who have the personal qualities to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people.
