Fostering payments
At Key Assets Fostering, we view foster carers as highly skilled individuals and provide them with competitive fostering payments to reflect this.
The children we foster fall into category A or category B. These categories indicate the complexity of a child’s needs and the level of care required. Our fostering payments are adjusted to each category accordingly.
Payments for full time fostering
Our fostering payments enable each of our carers to commit to fostering on a full time basis. It is our goal to promote foster care as a profession for which foster carers should be given a competitive allowance in relation to the hard work they do.
The weekly fostering payments you receive should cover the costs of the child or young person in placement. These include:
- Food
- Clothing
- Basic travel
- Contribution to household bills
- Children’s pocket money
- Regular recreational activities
- Birthday and Christmas gifts
