As a non-government fostering agency operating in South Australia, Key Assets works in partnership with the Department for Families and Communities to provide foster care placements for children and young people in out of home care.
As a non-government fostering agency operating in South Australia, we take referrals from the Department for children and young people for a range of children and young people, including those with highly complex needs.
The Department for Families and Communities is the government body in South Australia who retain the legal responsibility for foster children.
Key Assets works in partnership with this body to provide foster care in South Australia. We also work with a number of divisions within the Department, including Contracts and Licensing, the Placement Service Unit, and Families SA.
Through our partnership with the Department, we also attend regular meetings as a member of the Child and Family Welfare Association (CAFWA) and Joint Partnership, made up of a number of non-government agencies in South Australia who work together to improve and promote foster care.
