Think you can’t foster if you’re gay? Think again.
At Key Assets Tasmania, we know what it takes to make a great foster carer – and that’s patience, dedication and bags of energy.
Whatever your gender or sexuality, as long as you can provide a safe and loving environment for a child or young person, you have the qualities we’re looking for.
Committed to equality
We put equality and diversity at the centre of everything we do. So it’s no surprise that, as part of the Core Assets Group, we’re the only non-government fostering agency in the Stonewall Top 100 Employers list.
Speak to our LGB carers
If you’re thinking of becoming a foster carer, you’ll want to speak to someone who knows what you’re going through.
So when you begin your fostering journey with us, we’ll put you in touch with one of our registered LGB carers. They’ll give you an insight into what it’s really like to foster and help you understand what to expect from the application and approval process.
