About Key Assets Fostering
Key Assets Fostering is a not-for-profit organisation which operates as an independent foster care provider in Western Australia. We offer a positive contribution to Western Australia’s public out of home care service.
Our services are designed to meet a wide range of needs, including those of children and young people with complex histories who may make considerable demands upon their foster carers. We provide support for our foster carers through an extensive network of locally based resources and multidisciplinary teams of child care professionals.
Our background
Key Assets Fostering was established in 2007 with operations in Western Australia, South Australia and Queensland. Key Assets Fostering is part of the Core Assets Group – an international social care service provider with a combined 16 years of experience in supporting foster carers as well as children and young people.
Fostering First International, the international fostering arm of Core Assets, which Key Assets Fostering is part of, encompasses foster care providers across four continents and is recognised for its successful outcomes.

What we do
- We recruit foster carers of various backgrounds and levels of experience to work as part of a close unit.
- We offer high quality family placements and related support services to help children and young people who are in out of home care.
- We aim to encourage all our children and young people to achieve their full potential and live fulfilling lives in the community.
- We take an inclusive approach to foster care, working closely with the foster carer and the Department for Child Protection to achieve alternative care arrangements to best fit the needs of the child or young person in placement.
