Fostering Payments in Western Australia | Key Assets Australia

1800 we care

Whenever a foster carer has a child or young person placed with them, they receive a fostering payment to cover the costs of looking after the child or young person. Carers with Key Assets receive a fostering subsidy in line with the needs of the individual child or young person placed. The Department for Child Protection and Family Support, determines the levels of care necessary for each referral and the fostering payment is adjusted accordingly

The weekly fostering subsidy you receive for each child fostered should cover all living costs, such as:

  • Food
  • Clothing
  • Daily needs
  • Basic travel
  • Contribution to household bills
  • Children’s pocket money
  • Birthday and Christmas gifts

For more information or to register your interest in fostering with us, call Key Assets today on 1800 932 273 or enquire online.
