1800 we care
Key Assets has a range of full-time, part-time, casual and contract roles available.
We need qualified Social Workers to support and supervise our Foster Carers. To be eligible for our Social Work roles you must have a Bachelor degree in Social Work which makes you eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Ideally, you will also have experience of working in the Out of Home Care or Child Protection sectors.
We have a team of Youth Workers in each state who work directly with the children and young people in our care. The majority of these roles are offered on a casual basis and the amount of hours worked varies each week. Some of the support provided will occur on weekends and evenings so flexibility to work at those times is essential. Previous experience of working with children and young people, particularly those aged over 8, is preferable. Qualifications in youth work, community services or disabilities would be advantageous. You must hold a full open license and have access to a safe reliable vehicle to work in this role.
Our recruitment and marketing teams in each state are responsible for recruiting and training our Foster Carers. Experience in marketing, sales or recruitment will be highly regarded for these roles. In these positions you will make initial contact with prospective Foster Carers and help guide them through the assessment process. We attend a lot of festivals and events as part of our Foster Carer recruitment plan and as such you will be required to work evenings and some weekends to support these events.
We offer fee for service contract positions for Independent Assessors to visit, assess and train potential Foster Carers. These roles require a Social Work qualification and excellent report writing skills. Some states require assessors to be accredited in particular assessment tools for example the Step by Step toolkit and the Shared Stories Shared Lives preparation training.
Each state has a management team led by a Director or an Operations Manager who provide support and guidance to each of the teams.
Administrative support, including reception and finance functions are provided by our Business Support Officers.
Other positions that may be available include Education Officers and Therapists. The education roles would suit those with a background and qualifications in teaching and therapy roles suit those with qualifications and/or experience in psychology, counselling or family therapy.
