Over three days people from Government, community service organisations, businesses and advocates met together with parents, foster carers and young people to explore how Government and non-government organisations and the community can work better together to give vulnerable children and young people in Tasmania the best opportunity to meet their full potential.
The forum looked at how the past informs the present as well as being future focused. Ideas were generated, project plans developed and we all left feeling enthused and optimistic.
One theme that was raised by young people several times was the importance of sibling connectedness. The resident cartoonist for the event captured this beautifully.
Congratulations to the Department of Communities on this unique event and Key Assets very much looks forward to being part of taking this work forward.
